School Dog Programs
Supporting schools to build calm, connected learning environments through ethical, wellbeing-focused dog programs.
Therapy Dogs in Schools & Wellbeing Settings
At B.I.G ADHD Coaching, we support schools to integrate therapy-dog programs in ways that are ethical, evidence-informed, and centred on student wellbeing. Therapy dogs can play a meaningful role in helping children regulate emotions, build confidence, and feel safe — but only when programs prioritise animal welfare, student needs, and thoughtful planning. With training in counselling, education, and animal-assisted approaches, I help schools explore best-practice methods for calm-focused canine support, co-regulation, and safe interaction in learning environments. School-based dog programs can offer comfort, connection, and support for emotional regulation for students. I help schools explore and develop these programs in ways that honour both student wellbeing and animal welfare.
Building Calm, Connected School Communities
Every school community is different, and a therapy-dog program should reflect that. Whether you're curious about how therapy dogs can support emotional regulation and wellbeing, or you’re ready to start planning a program, I offer guidance that honours both student development and canine welfare. My approach blends lived experience in education with therapeutic training to help create environments where students — and dogs — feel safe, supported, and ready to learn together.
If you're exploring therapy-dog integration or ADHD-informed wellbeing support for your school, I’d love to help.
