Practical ADHD coaching alongside clinical and allied health care

A client can understand their ADHD, know what they need to do, and leave an appointment with clear strategies — yet still struggle to put those strategies into practice in everyday life.

Knowing what to do and being able to do it consistently are not always the same thing.

This is where ADHD coaching can provide an additional layer of practical support.

Supporting the work between appointments

B.I.G. ADHD Coaching works alongside medical and allied health professionals to help clients translate insight and recommendations into practical changes in everyday life.

Coaching may support clients with organisation, overwhelm, time management, running late, task initiation, routines, planning, managing competing demands, study or work demands, and following through on agreed goals.

The focus is practical: understanding where implementation is getting stuck, trying strategies in everyday life, reviewing what works, and adapting what doesn't.

ADHD coaching does not replace psychological, psychiatric, medical or occupational therapy. It can complement clinical care by providing additional support with the everyday implementation of strategies and goals.

Referring a Client

B.I.G. ADHD Coaching welcomes referrals from GPs, psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, paediatricians and other health professionals supporting adolescents and adults who may benefit from practical support with ADHD and executive functioning challenges.

Clients can also self-refer and do not need a formal referral to access coaching.

Where appropriate, and with the client's consent, I am happy to collaborate with treating professionals to support continuity of care and shared goals.

Ready to refer a client?

The referral process is simple. With your client's consent, provide their details and a brief indication of the areas where additional support may be helpful.

I will contact the client or parent directly to discuss whether ADHD coaching is an appropriate fit and the next steps.
